Airbus showcases JP2060-3 Deployable Health solution

Airbus has demonstrated its TransHospital deployable hospital solution it is pitching for the ADF's deployable health capability under JP2060 Phase 3 along with partners Siemens Healthineers and Zeppelin Mobile Systeme (ZMS).

Airbus participated in the Australian Military Medicine Association (AMMA) Conference in Brisbane, which took place from 6-8 October.

Comprising a modular and scalable hard shelter and tent-based system, the Airbus TransHospital enables the full spectrum of medical care from first-aid stations to an operational hospital with advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities. The display includes a virtual reality experience as delegates move through the tent area.

Managing director Airbus in Australia Pacific Tony Fraser said AMMA presented an opportunity for Airbus to showcase the capability with  industry partners.

“The combined Airbus, Siemens Healthineers and ZMS expertise will deliver the benchmark for deployable healthcare required by the ADF. This critical medical capability carries the exacting standards expected of the aerospace sector.”

In addition, Airbus presented a paper at the conference, focusing on medical support missions in disaster scenarios.

In May this year, Airbus and Siemens Healthineers announced a teaming arrangement to offer the Australian Defence Force (ADF) a system of medical facilities, which can be readily deployed for both combat and humanitarian missions.
